Dragonfly — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Dragonfly app ("Dragonfly"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your region, to use Dragonfly.

2. What Dragonfly Does

Dragonfly is a driver-assistance app that combines a dashcam, GPS turn-by-turn navigation, community-style road alerts, emergency contact tools, and public missing-person notices.

Dragonfly is a convenience and safety aid, not a safety-critical system. It can fail, lose signal, or show outdated information. Nothing in the app relieves you of your duty to operate your vehicle safely and to follow all traffic laws.

3. Dashcam and Recording Laws

You are solely responsible for using the camera and microphone lawfully. Recording consent requirements for video and audio differ by country, state, and province. Do not record where recording is prohibited, and never let Dragonfly distract you from driving.

Clips are recorded to your device's local storage. You are responsible for what you do with them, including sharing them with insurers, authorities, or the public.

4. Navigation and Road Alerts

Routes, traffic, and estimated times are provided through Apple's map services and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or affected by road closures. Road hazard alerts depend on availability and may be wrong or missing. Always follow posted signage, road conditions, and your own judgment over any instruction in the app.

5. Emergency Features

Dragonfly's SOS, crash detection, and voice-activated alerts are aids, not guarantees. They depend on device sensors, connectivity, and your settings. In any real emergency, contact your local emergency services directly. Messages sent to your emergency contacts are sent from your device through your carrier and may fail for reasons outside our control.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not misuse Dragonfly: no attempting to break its security, no redistributing or reselling it, no using it to harass or stalk anyone, and no interfering with its operation while driving. Missing-person information shown in the app is provided for awareness only and may not reflect current status; verify with authorities before acting on it.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Dragonfly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dragonfly's developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including accidents, injuries, fines, data loss, or missed emergencies — arising from use of or reliance on the app. Some regions do not allow this limitation, in which case it applies to the fullest extent permitted there.

8. Languages

Dragonfly's interface, spoken alerts, and voice commands are available in several languages. Translations are provided for convenience and may contain errors. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are provided in English, and the English version controls if there is any conflict.

9. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised Terms. We may modify or discontinue the app at any time.
